Developer Licenses

Development Licenses are provided with the following options.

  • Standalone Package Generation License (SPG): Full Source code license that allows a single developer to generate a stand-alone Package for a specific target Operating System and use it in development for an unlimited number of applications during the period that the customer maintains valid Technical Support. A yearly Developer License is not required.
  • OS PAL Developer License (DL): grants a single developer, development rights for an unlimited number of Applications, using one Host Operating System, node locked to a single computer, for a one year period.
  • OS PAL Yearly Code Generation License (CG): license is a yearly fee for each MapuSoft product for each developer (node-locked to one computer) to generate code for the target Operating System. A yearly Development License is required.

Target Licenses

Target License (TL): License to embed OS Abstractor/OS Changer in a single product or PC, for a single CPU and Operating System, at a single Development location. Customers would need additional Target Licenses for each variation in the target license.

Additional Target License Options:

  • Single Down-Line Customer Options (SC): This is needed if your customer is not the end user and will continue development of the application. Licenses are given for Source Code distribution, Linkable Object distribution and Executable Code distribution.
  • Product-Line Buyout (PLB): Extends single target license to multiple products within the same product family (e.g. high, medium and low end DVD player). Single development location applies.

A – Extends single target license to multiple CPU’s (e.g. Mot PPC 82XX) within a single family

B – Buyout of entire ARM CPU architecture family

C – Buyout of entire MIPS CPU architecture family

D – Buyout of entire PPC CPU architecture family

E other – Buyout for other architecture family

  • Product-line/Processor Buyout (PPB): combines Product-line and Processor buyout rights at a single development location (e.g. high, medium and low DVD players for Motorola PPC 82XX CPUs).
  • Reference Platform License (RPL): Similar to Product-line buyout but for customers who resell MT Software within their reference designs. RPL customers can only resell Single Target Licenses to down-line customers.
  • RPL Distribution Buyout Options (DB): Linkable Object and Executable Code
